                                               Annual Meeting Invitation

The Great Lakes Acoustic Music Association (GLAMA) volunteer Board of Directors extends a hearty “hello” to all long-term and new

Friends of GLAMA.

We thank you for your interest and support!

As we patiently await the blooms of spring and the sight of green grass, the GLAMA Board has been busy exploring opportunities to maintain, expand and strengthen our educational mission to preserve, promote, and perform acoustic music within our local communities and surrounding areas.

GLAMA’s monthly Slow Jams and Community Sings continue as does the monthly Boatyard Open Jam. Many of you enjoy these activities, and the partnerships with the Kalamazoo Public Library and Boatyard Brewery are appreciated and valued.

Now, the GLAMA Board has begun to move forward with plans

for a fall 2019 concert to include workshops.

There is a reasonable amount of funding in the budget to support this plan.

However,

To continue planning this event and to maintain ongoing and future GLAMA events, we are in urgent need of more helpers and volunteers!

The primary requirement for participation with GLAMA is simply a love and appreciation for acoustic music and a strong desire to spread the joy and fun to others! Musicians and non-musicians with a willingness to share creative ideas and talents are all welcome to join in the camaraderie with friendly folks who are in this to have fun, laugh, and work hard on ideas and ways to keep GLAMA strong and viable!

Specifically, the GLAMA Board of Directors has immediate openings for:

  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Board Members-at-Large
  • Committee members with specific skill and areas of interest including:
  • website updating, social media marketing, finance and development, grant writing, promotion, event programming, volunteer coordination, and email list management.

To learn more about these opportunities, including Committee and Board member duties, please contact:
