Acoustic stringed instrument players are welcome to join members of GLAMA for a fun jam based on simple chord progressions and slow to medium tempos. It is helpful to know several chords and be able to change from one to the other. You are encouraged to bring a tuner and a capo.
Basic jamming tips included!

Glama is pleased to announce the Open GLAMA Jam will now take place at Olde Peninsula Brewpub and Restaurant (200 E Michigan Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49007) at 7 p.m. on the 4th Tuesday of each month, beginning November 25 at 7 p.m. Refreshments and food will be available for purchase. Thanks to Olde Peninsula for hosting and for validating parking for those who park in the City Lot on the west side of Portage St.

This is an open mic event to be held on the beautiful old storied stage of the Richland Community Hall, the original home of the Augusta Barn Theatre in the late 1940’s. The event is co-sponsored by Great Lakes Acoustic Music Association (GLAMA), the Village of Richland, Great Grounds Coffee Café, and Friends of the Richland Library.
We often have other events in addition to our regular jams and sings like the GLAMA ANNUAL MEETING AND JAM.
