Volunteers Welcome!

GLAMA is a volunteer organization, and volunteers are essential to meeting GLAMA’s mission by planning and implementing programs, activities and events.
If you enjoy acoustic music and are willing to share your time, enthusiasm and talent to promote it, please consider becoming a GLAMA Board or Committee Member.

As GLAMA increases the number of fun activities we provide, we definitely need member help! That’s where you come in.

We are building committees to help with Cooper’s Glen, as well as to help make sure that our regular monthly events have all the support we can provide!

Here are some specific roles that we need help with. If you think you could lend a hand once in a while, please reach out and let us know so that we can contact you.

GLAMA Cooper’s Glen Committees:

Entertainment: Help recruit and hire artists for GLAMA-sponsored events such as concerts and educational workshops. Duties include contacting artists and/or their management, negotiate for contracted services, support and assist the artists during their time with us.

Facility: Handle various aspects of staging a GLAMA event. Duties include arranging for sound, lighting, seating, and safety including operation of the stage and all its components, and return of all rented or borrowed equipment. Also may help with arranging event signage.

Advertising and Sponsorship: Assist in aspects of marketing Cooper’s Glen. Creating signs, promoting social on traditional and social media, and reaching out for sponsors who can help promote our event.

Vendors:  Help us connect with vendors and food resources for Cooper’s Glen.

Regular Event Volunteering:

Are you a regular at Village Stage Live? This event always needs folks who can show up a little early to help with chairs and the stage setup or stay a little late to help with tear-down and clean up.

Is there a jam session that is a part of your month? We often need to have a reliable backup who can help make introductions and get things started if our board members are spread thin. We’d love to have help MCing the events!
